Donald J. Whelan, Jr.
Vice Chancellor for University Advancement
This office is responsible for the planned promotion of understanding and support for the University. Working with trustees and other volunteer leaders, the University Advancement Office implements programs designed to achieve an increasing flow of unrestricted or budget-supporting gifts and restricted or budget-enhancing gifts. Activities include those aimed at attracting the involvement and support of alumni, parents of present and former students, foundations, the business community, the Christian Church constituency, and other friends.
Prior to joining TCU in April 2005, Donald J. Whelan, Jr., worked in the Development Office at Saint Louis University for nearly 17 years. He became Vice President for Development and University Relations there in February 1998 and has been in development for 19 years. Mr. Whelan received a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1984 and a Master of International Business from Saint Louis University in 2003. He is responsible for all University fund raising and alumni relations.
