COVID-19 Communications

Due to Tarrant County’s current designation as an area of “High Transmission,” TCU will require that face masks be worn in all indoor campus spaces to help protect the health and safety of our community, effective immediately. This includes all indoor common areas such as classrooms and meeting and event spaces.

As we count down to the first day of classes on Aug. 23, we expect everyone to participate in the health of our community and to follow the most current health and safety guidance.

The campus is alive with anticipation as we prepare to be back together again at Texas Christian University. We have a wonderful semester planned for our Frogs, complete with all the opportunities that make TCU a powerful community.

Based on continued low COVID-19 prevalence in our community and widely available COVID-19 vaccines, TCU will no longer require physical distancing for campus events and activities, both indoors and outdoors. Class enrollments will allow at least three feet of distance between students and a six-foot zone for instructors, to use if desired. Face coverings remain optional for vaccinated individuals and expected for those who are not vaccinated.

Texas Christian University’s top priority is the health and safety of our Horned Frogs. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, TCU has continued to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Based upon their recent guidance for vaccinated individuals, low COVID-19 prevalence and strong vaccination rates in our community, we share the following updates for campus members.
