Throughout the pandemic, TCU has continued to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Based upon their new guidance for mask-wearing and COVID-19 transmission levels in Tarrant County, masks are now optional for the TCU campus community.

Spring 2022 Return to Campus
Thank you for your continued vigilance to Protect the Purple as we return to the Texas Christian University campus. We begin spring semester 2022 again challenged by the pandemic and the spread of the Omicron variant. Once again, we find ourselves grateful for the diligence of our staff and faculty employees for planning and supporting efforts to maintain a healthy environment and care for those who are affected by the virus.

The Campus Readiness Task Force continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 within our community and region. We are prepared to reopen Texas Christian University on Jan. 5 and begin the semester for in-person learning on Jan. 10 as planned.

The Campus Readiness Task Force has been closely monitoring the rapid developments surrounding the two federal vaccine mandates, both of which apply to employees of Texas Christian University should they survive court challenges and move forward. We are monitoring the legal challenges to both, but are preparing to comply, as are other colleges and universities across Texas.
