Dear Horned Frogs,
This semester began like many other academic seasons for Texas Christian University— with energy and optimism. Today, I maintain that energy and optimism, because our community continues to step up to the once inconceivable changes and challenges experienced over the past few weeks. During a time when it seems we have very little control over our lives, I am constantly inspired by the relationships and shared values that keep us connected.
Please continue to find ways to connect with one another, and with TCU. We are all staying busy with classes and work, but I hope you’ll join me in taking opportunities to reflect on the things that matter most. This week I’m sharing one of my favorite “quiet” places on campus, the pocket park between Reed and Scharbauer Halls. Look for me there when we are reunited on campus: https://youtu.be/AobpRPRZS7I
Friday is a well-deserved day off for all of us. This weekend, I hope that you will rest, spend time with loved ones, and reflect on what you’ve accomplished, and what we’ve accomplished together under these imperfect circumstances. Think on these things, and dwell on what brings you joy.
