Dear Faculty and Staff,
The countdown has begun for many of our students to return to the Texas Christian University campus. We are pleased to have many in our community join us back on campus as we put our thorough plans for a safe and healthy return into action. To make the campus as healthy as possible, it will require all of us to Protect the Purple.
Today, we are releasing the Fall 2020 Connected Campus Guide for Faculty and Staff, which is an easy overview of our safety practices and information about the academic and campus life experience that we have planned. This document outlines many of the more detailed plans previously issued and found online.
We are also sending a student and family version of the Fall 2020 Guide, which continues to emphasize the responsibility each of us has to our community. Watch this video of our students, and a special guest, asking for action and participation in the health of our community in the form of a pledge, which will be issued soon via social media.
Thank you for the hard work and intellectual investment you’ve made in TCU and in our student learning environment and campus experience. This has not been a simple path, but we have put in the work, and have invested in the infrastructure to make this a successful semester.
My three priorities for leading over the next few months are Safety, Sustainability and Justice. Know that there is important work happening in those areas of emphasis and I, and our team, will keep you informed. I hope you will join us for the upcoming virtual Town Hall, August 6 from 3-4 p.m.
Thank you for supporting each other and our community as we make decisions that improve TCU for all who call themselves Horned Frogs.
Sincerely,
Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
