Dear TCU residential student,
Campus life has not been the same without all of you here. We know that your residence hall community, your friends here at Texas Christian University and the memories you make on campus are special. We are sorry that this experience has been disrupted this spring, but we look forward to having many of you back on campus in the next academic year.
We acknowledge that in addition to your health and safety concerns, COVID-19 may have imposed financial uncertainties for students and families. All unused housing and dining fees for the spring 2020 semester will be returned to students – either through direct student account credits or refunds for graduating seniors. It’s our goal that all students are able to continue their academic career with us at TCU. Our financial services and financial aid teams will continue to work with students and families who require additional financial support. Please see more details below about the housing and dining credits applied to your student accounts.
Housing and dining credits
Prior to April 13, a credit for housing and dining was added to your student account. Credits were based on the fact that you were not able to return to participate in the campus living experience after spring break. The amount of the credit is based on the room rate and dining plan you chose and the corresponding time you were not on campus.
Credits in your student account may be applied toward any cost of attendance – tuition, books, fees, and/or housing and dining, or may go toward outstanding student account balances. Graduating seniors with a remaining credit on their student account will receive a refund.
If you have any questions about this credit or your student account, please do not hesitate to contact Financial Services at 817-257-7836 or email finserv@tcu.edu.
Campus Cash and Frog Bucks
Any balance for Campus Cash or Frog Bucks that remain on your meal plan will roll over to the fall semester. Graduating seniors will receive a refund for unused Campus Cash or Frog Bucks in May after exam week.
If you are a graduating senior, please email finserv@tcu.edu for questions or assistance with your refund.
We appreciate all of you and hope that you and your families are safe and healthy. Please contact us at housing@tcu.edu if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you in the fall. Thank you for being a Horned Frog.
Sincerely,
TCU Financial Services and TCU Housing & Residence Life
