COVID-19 Information

Dear Horned Frogs,

Today I am thrilled to announce an important community collaboration between Texas Christian University, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth and Tarrant County Public Health to launch a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site serving Tarrant County residents. We absolutely could not achieve this without the commitment of our hard-working and mission-serving campus members who work tirelessly on behalf of our community.

Amon G. Carter Stadium parking lots will serve as the location for the site. Baylor Scott & White Health employees will administer vaccine initially, with plans for support from faculty and students of TCU’s Department of Nursing and TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine underway.

Vaccinations allow us to play offense – instead of defense – in the fight against COVID-19. Our talented staff and clinical professionals have worked diligently to make this a smooth process so we can help protect the wider community. Current plans are for the drive-thru TCU site to be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, beginning Feb. 13.

Additional details can be read in TCU News, Texas Christian University and Baylor Scott & White Health to host community COVID-19 vaccination hub. Please check the Connected Campus microsite frequently for the most up-to-date information.

Vaccines distributed at the TCU community site are vaccines allocated by the state to Tarrant County Public Health and Baylor Scott & White Health — these are not TCU’s allocation. However, TCU students and employees registered with TCU will be put on a waitlist in priority order for any end-of-day vaccines that go unused due to appointment no-shows. TCU waitlist priority will follow state recommended allocation protocols. More information will be sent directly to TCU students and employees in the coming days.

TCU students and employees are encouraged to register for the vaccine through Tarrant County Public Health and/or MyBSWHealth, in addition to TCU; as well as visit TCU’s vaccine FAQs.

It's important that the TCU community be part of the solution to this damaging pandemic. We are proud to partner with other community leaders to extend our work in support of the greater good as we serve our Fort Worth and Tarrant County neighbors.

Lead on, Horned Frogs.
