Dear TCU Faculty and Staff,
We hope that you enjoyed the lunch provided by our partner Sodexo and their dedicated staff yesterday. We will be continuing the program today, but as with all things over the last week or so, we are implementing some changes to make the process safer and faster. Please understand that we will likely need to alter the program as the rest of the week progresses.
It was evident that most people arrived at the same time. Of the 640 lunches served yesterday, 400 of them were served between 12 – 12:30 p.m. Obviously, that isn’t optimal for social distancing and speed of service. To that end, we are implementing the following schedule today. Please find your building or appropriate group below.
We are asking you to come during these times to improve our safety. If you miss your time or can’t make it, please do still come over.
Lunch pick up schedule:
Grounds Crew, Fine Arts Building, Tucker, and Reed
BLUU Staff, Moudy, Winton Scott, IDS
Facility Services, Library, Tandy, and Palko Bailey
Athletics, Rees Jones, Press, HR
General Maintenance, Sadler, Bass, Secrest-Wible
Housing, Sid Rich, Sumner, IBR
Neeley, Scharbauer, Beasley, Chapel, Moore, Harrison, and other
In addition, some friendly reminders:
If you wish to gather lunches for more than one person, this is fine, (and actually a good idea) but please bring ID’s for everyone needing a lunch.
You need your TCU ID card to get into the BLUU. You will need to swipe.
EVERY PERSON will be required to sanitize their hands on entry to the servery. NO EXCEPTIONS.
No one is permitted to stay in the BLUU and eat. You certainly may go outside and eat.
Please mind the quantity you are taking. This is for one meal, and it is not intended for any other purpose.
Please do NOT reach around sneeze guards (glass) for any food. For safety, It must be served to you.
All regular safety precautions should be taken while you are in line. (Sneezing, coughing, touching)
I am very grateful to our staff in the BLUU that is working so diligently to serve us. I hope you will join me in thanking them for their critical service.
The quality of the food is excellent, and while we may not be able to fulfill every dietary taste or need with several options, I am sure that you will join me in understanding the situation.
Overall, the atmosphere was happy and jovial yesterday, and It was wonderful to see our community coming together in breaking bread.
I look forward to seeing everyone again today.
