Beneath a canopy of purple and white lights, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Community Commons. Over the next couple of weeks, the Commons will be ‘holiday central’ to help students get in the spirit of the season while enjoying some much-needed breaks from the end-of-semester rush.

Here’s what’s coming up in the Commons:

Nov. 11: Holiday food truck with the Beignet Bus, 5-8 p.m. at Frog Fountain. Enjoy a free beignet and coffee.

Nov. 12: Holiday movie night hosted by the Alphas featuring “This Christmas,” 7 p.m.

Nov. 13: Holidays in the Commons with food, photo ops, a holiday tree walk-through, snow and crafts for Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa, 6-10 p.m. Live music from 6-8 p.m. will be followed by “The Grinch” movie from 8-10 p.m.

Nov. 16: Friendsgiving with (free!) Heim Barbecue, 5:30 p.m. at Frog Fountain.

Nov. 16: Late Night Breakfast in Market Square, 10 p.m. in the BLUU. Enjoy this TCU tradition with breakfast in Market Square, a DJ and photo booths.

Nov. 17: Falling Into Winter event hosted by Housing and Residence Life, 4-9 p.m.
