Horned Frogs “attending” online classes have options beyond their dorm rooms. TCU has designated certain unused classrooms and nontraditional spaces as “landing zones” to be used by students who are looking for a safe space to participate in virtual classes while physical distancing.

TCU’s interactive campus map has been updated to show the landing zones, along with capacity for each space.

Many landing zones are spaces where students gathered before — computer labs, the BLUU, the library — but now they are configured to adhere to social distancing requirements. Landing zones have been designated as classroom spaces in the BLUU Ballroom, King Family Commons 203 A/B/C, Library 1208, Smith Hall 1520 A/B and Rees Jones 337. For Horned Frogs who want to be outside but prefer a patch of shade, tents have been constructed across campus.

In all instances, students should use their personal devices to connect with the class (unless accessing a computer in a lab), wear earbuds to reduce disruptions for others, wear face coverings and follow social distancing protocols.

In addition, some online courses have been assigned classrooms where students may gather for a specific class.
