TCU kicks off United Way campaign
This year’s TCU United Way campaign, co-chaired by Sean Atkinson, chair of the Faculty Senate, and Angie Taylor, chair of Staff Assembly, will have a different look and feel. The goal for the campaign is $95,000.
“In the past 7 months, we have witnessed an unprecedented pandemic that has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of jobs and our own sense of normalcy,” Atkinson and Taylor said. “These losses have been experienced by our colleagues, our friends, our neighbors and even us. Times are tough, no doubt. But a hallmark of the TCU community is that when someone is hurting, we rally the troops and provide the care and support necessary. That’s what Horned Frogs do!”
Everything for the campaign this year will be done electronically—either through an online donation form or through a new “Text to Give” option. The campaign will launch today with an email from Atkinson providing instructions for accessing the online donation form. Pledges may be made using payroll deduction, credit or debit card or direct billing. Due to COVID-19, these are the only methods or payment that will be accepted.
To participate in the new “Text to Give” option, text TCUCARES to 41444. You will receive a reply text with a link that will direct you to the website to give. If you choose this option, your donations may be made only using a debit or credit card.
The United Way campaign will end Friday, Nov. 20. For additional information, please email Nancy Styles or call her at ext. 7808.
