Changing lives is what TCU faculty and staff do every day, through their time, talents and hard work. Generous Horned Frogs also change lives through their annual financial gifts to the university. For those in a position to give, the Office of Loyalty Giving is asking faculty and staff to consider supporting students during the Faculty/Staff Annual Campaign.

This year, people and programs – including scholarships – are still a top priority, reflecting the ongoing needs of many students and their families. By designating a gift to TCU Student Scholarships, donors can make an immediate impact on deserving Horned Frogs like Clark Society Scholar Joe Boyce, a senior finance and political science double-major from St. Louis.

Boyce’s desire for a wide-ranging liberal arts education with a global emphasis brought him to TCU, where the mission statement serves as inspiration for his future goals.

“I could have gotten a business degree anywhere closer to home, but I may not have had the chance to take classes such as archeoastronomy, art history and world religion,” he said. “The world is more connected than ever, and I wanted my education to train me to think outside the box to tackle problems on a larger scale. The reason behind working to overcome these global challenges rests with the second half of the mission statement. As ethical and responsible citizens, we are called to simply do the right thing.”

In addition to helping keep a TCU education attainable for deserving students like Boyce, annual gifts also fund innovative academic programs and initiatives and allows the university to attract and retain outstanding faculty. To assist in retention, the Clark Society Board proudly announced the creation of the Clark Society Endowed Faculty Fund. This new fund will recognize the incredible research and creative activities of faculty who excel as teachers and scholars and prioritize engagement with students. Funds awarded will be used for teaching, research and creative programming to benefit students. The award will serve as an annual recognition for at least one faculty member per year, with the goal of expanding the annual award to recognize the efforts of multiple faculty members across various disciplines.

The campaign runs April 5-30. Gifts can be made or more information found online. For questions, call the Office of Loyalty Giving at Ext. 7800.
