AI & TCU Data

Before uploading TCU data to any AI systems, consider the consequences if the data were stolen or involved in a data breach. Could the data cause financial, legal, reputational or operational harm to the university or individuals?

To mitigate risk, the following tools have been vetted for the TCU community.

Unauthorized use of TCU data with non-approved AI systems is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action in accordance with university policy. Please review TCU's Artificial Intelligence Policy and Data Classification Policy before using TCU data with AI.

Approved

The approved AI systems list is subject to ongoing review and may be modified or revoked as risk, regulatory, or technological conditions change. TCU data must not be used to train, fine-tune or improve foundational AI models. Review TCU's Artificial Intelligence Policy before you begin using an approved TCU AI solution.

In Review

The following tools are currently being reviewed for TCU use and TCU data, according to risk and security procedures. The TCU community is not permitted to use these tools, especially with TCU data, until they have been moved to the approved list.

Tools listed as In Review must still adhere to TCU's Artificial Intelligence Policy. You cannot use TCU Private or Confidential data with a tool until the review is finished. Please use the approved tools when needed.

Limited Approval: The tool may be used in a limited way while additional review or controls are still in progress. Use is restricted to specific users, data types, or purposes, and use with private or confidential TCU data is not permitted unless explicitly stated.
