Prior to his move to Texas, Brian worked at Chicago Scenic Studios as a job lead, creating scenery for projects such as: ABC-7 Chicago State Street Studio Set; CBS Sports Set, New York, NY; “Late Night With Conan O’Brien in Chicago”; “ The Oprah Winfrey Show”; The Chicago Field Museum; The Adler Planetarium; and Chicago Shakespeare. He was raised in Chicago and studied at the University of Illinois, The Art Institute of Chicago and The University of Kansas from which he holds a BFA in Illustration and an MFA in Scenography.
Brian presently teaches theatre design at TCU. Most recently he has designed for The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey on their productions of ‘Misalliance’ and ‘The Tempest’. In past summers, while working on the TrinityShakespeare Festival, he has garnered 3 DFW Critics Forum Awards forOutstanding Creative Contributions for his work on Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, & Julius Caesar. Brian is a member of United Scenic Artists- category Scene Design.
