Jeff Cochran is the Assistant Professor of Stage and Production Management for the Department of Theatre at Texas Christian University. As the head of the Stage and Production Management Program, he oversees both the academic and production components of the program as well as serving as the Production Manager for Department of Theatre.

In addition to his work at TCU, Jeff stays active in the industry. Jeff serves as a Production Stage Manager with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, where he most recently worked on Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and A Christmas Carol. Jeff was excited to serve as the Production Stage Manager with Oklahoma City Ballet’s production of Nine Sinatra Songs: A Triple Bill. Jeff has been an active member in the D/FW arts community. Jeff has staged managed for such companies as WaterTower Theatre, Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, the Greater Tuna Corporation and Dallas Black Dance.

Prior to his time at TCU, Jeff served as the Professor of Stage and Production Management at Oklahoma City University. During his time there, he built one of the most robust programs in the country creating partnerships with the major performing arts organizations across the city. In 2020, Jeff was awarded the Outstanding Faculty Award for Oklahoma City University.

In addition to his background in stage management, Jeff has served in a variety of roles in the performing arts. As an arts administrator, Jeff served as the Director of the Murchison Performing Arts Center at the University of North Texas. In 1996 he served as a Lighting Designer during the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Jeff is an active member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, the Stage Managers Association, the Production Managers Forum, the International Association of Venue Managers, Southeastern Theatre Conference and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association.
