Kaylee Kipp

Dr. Kaylee Kipp earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, within the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology. Her research in the Parasitology Research and Diagnostic Lab focused on large ruminant parasitology, drug resistance, and sustainable parasite control strategies. A Texas native, she also holds an M.S. in Agricultural Sciences (2020) and a B.S. in Animal Science (2018) from East Texas A&M University.

Before joining TCU, Dr. Kipp’s master's research examined the efficacy of dewormers in young stocker calves and their effects on performance. Following her master's, Dr. Kipp joined Texas A&M University for her doctoral work, which investigated parasite diversity, disease, and patterns of drug resistance in both wild and privately managed bison herds across the United States. Her research, which documented widespread resistance to the benzimidazole drug class, has contributed to developing diagnostic and management approaches that support producers in maintaining herd health and productivity for all grazing ruminants. Trained as a classical parasitologist, Dr. Kipp also gained extensive experience in the Parasitology Diagnostic Laboratory, performing routine diagnostic testing on livestock, companion animals, wildlife, and exotic species.

Dr. Kipp is passionate about education and outreach, where she aims to bridge research and practical herd management techniques and diagnostics to help current and future producers and veterinarians make informed management decisions related to animal health. She has taught courses such as Livestock Management, Introduction to Animal Science, and Livestock Diseases at East Texas A&M University. In addition, she regularly presents at producer conferences and cattle health seminars. Her teaching emphasizes applied learning and field-based problem solving, helping students bridge classroom knowledge with practical livestock management experience.

At TCU, Dr. Kipp is committed to advancing sustainable livestock production and animal health through innovative, research-driven instruction and producer engagement. She aims to support both student development and producer success by integrating science, management, and hands-on application in the classroom and field. Dr. Kipp resides in Weatherford, Texas, with her husband and daughter.
