Dr. Robin Chataut is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at TCU and Director of the TCU NextGen AI Lab. He specializes in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cybersecurity, and advanced wireless communication. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of North Texas.
Dr. Chataut’s research focuses on AI-driven cybersecurity, large language models (LLMs) in education, and next-generation wireless systems, including 5G, beyond 5G (B5G), and 6G technologies. His current work investigates adversarial AI for offensive and defensive cyber operations, secure authentication, malware and intrusion detection, and signal processing for physical-layer security. He also explores how LLMs can improve educational equity and learning outcomes through real-time academic support and personalized feedback systems.
He has published several peer-reviewed papers and secured research funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASA, and state agencies. At TCU, Dr. Chataut actively mentors student researchers and leads funded projects that integrate AI and cybersecurity into both research and curriculum. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and serves as a reviewer and editor for several top-tier journals and conferences. His interdisciplinary work aims to build secure, inclusive, and resilient technological systems for the future.
