  • Community, corporality, sexuality, museology and mass culture.

Description of Research

Pichardo looks for public spaces to question traditional knowledge as a resource for our experience in history. Her first approach to history was focused on how ancient Americas cultures viewed death emphasizing on elements that were brought to their offerings, such as flowers and clay pots. After curating an exhibition on Moche art, she reflects on the role museums play in nurturing a sense of belonging and equitable space within the social fabric.

Her Ph.D advisors are Dr. Peter Szok and Alex Hidalgo.
