This year’s event, March 28, 2019, features Dr. Janet L. Yellen, chair of the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve System 2014-18.

The annual Investment Strategies Conference, a sell-out in recent years, provides professionals and students a unique opportunity to hear insights from the best in the business.

Dr. Janet Yellen will be the luncheon keynote speaker for the conference, which will take place Thursday, March 28, 2019, on the TCU campus.

Dr. Yellen was named by Forbes as the second most powerful woman in the world in 2014. Bloomberg Markets ranked her first among the 50 most influential economists and policymakers in 2015. She currently is the Distinguished Fellow in Residence at Brookings’ Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy.

Dr. Yellen, along with other renowned investment experts, will discuss outlooks on cycles related to economics and the capital markets. Speakers include asset class experts who position their portfolios to perform in spite of the inevitable ebb and flow of cycles.

Fareed Adib, chief technology officer for Vista, is a global leader in the development and implementation of innovative software and technology products for businesses and organizations. He is considered an expert at identifying and building solutions that unlock value for organizations of all sizes and across various sectors.

Dr. Mark Mobius, partner in Mobius Capital Partners LLP, one of the top 10 money managers of the 20th century, is seen by many as the founder of the emerging markets asset class. He is the author of The Investor’s Guide to Emerging Markets, Passport to Profits, The Little Book of Emerging Markets and more.

David Rosenberg, chief economist and strategist for Gluskin Sheff & Associates Inc., is considered an economic expert and is frequently featured on CNBC. He is the author of Breakfast with Dave, a daily distillation of his economic and financial market insights.

Barry Sternlicht, co-founder of Starwood Capital Group, rounds out the conference agenda.

The conference will take place on March 28, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the TCU campus. Morning sessions will be in the Dee J. Kelly Alumni & Visitors Center. The keynote luncheon will be in the Brown-Lupton University Union, 3rd-floor ballroom, 2901 Stadium Drive.

The Investment Strategies Conference is presented by the LKCM Center for Financial Studies at the Neeley School of Business and TCU Investment Management.
