Suzy Lockwood, Ph.D., MSN, RN, OCN, FAAN, associate dean for nursing and nurse anesthesia and professor of nursing, was featured on WFAA’s midday newscast Wednesday, May 6, in a segment to recognize National Nurses Day and discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the nursing profession.

“TCU nursing has always had a strong reputation in the community for producing nurses, and I think part of what people have learned now about nursing is that it truly is the heart of caring,” Lockwood said. “We are seeing an increased number of people applying to our nursing programs to become nurses, who really recognize the important role that nurses can have in the care of not just patients in the hospital, but communities.”
