Editor’s Note: The letter below was emailed from Chancellor Boschini to TCU students and families on July 29, 2020.

Dear Horned Frogs and Families,

The countdown has begun for many of our students to return to the Texas Christian University campus. We are overjoyed to have students join us on campus as we put our thorough plans for a safe and healthy return into action. To make the campus as healthy as possible, it will require all of us to Protect the Purple.

Today, we are releasing the Fall 2020 Connected Campus Guide. This guide is an easy overview of our safety practices, the academic experience and the student life experience that we have planned for those on campus, as well as engagement for our students choosing to learn remotely this fall. We’re also introducing a student-led call for action to promote a healthy campus. Watch this video of our students, and a special guest, asking for participation in the health of our community in the form of a pledge to be sent soon by social media. I value our Horned Frogs and the way they care for each other and for their TCU community. It is this spirit of caring and personal responsibility that will help keep us all safe and healthy on campus this semester.

Recently, we shared information about a new tuition assistance program for students whose classes TCU moved online as a result of COVID-19, as well as additional financial aid for qualified families. Students can see their full class roster at my.tcu.edu, “View My Classes” to follow updates and check the status of their classes.

There is palpable excitement here as we equip and prepare our classrooms for in person and virtual learning on our campus. Our focus is to help you achieve your academic goals and enjoy the TCU experience, despite the challenges of the pandemic. There’s no denying that things will be different this fall, but we assure you that even with physical distancing, your Frog Family is here for you.

Thank you for your patience and grace with TCU during this challenging time. I can’t say enough about how much we value your feedback and support. This has not been a simple path, but our Horned Frog community of students and parents sustains us and drives our purpose. We will see you soon, and are counting the moments until we are together again.

Go Frogs!

Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
