Each year, all academic deans review nominations for the Deans’ Award for Teaching and the Deans’ Award for Research and Creativity. Full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty are nominated by their colleagues, supported by recommendations from students and alumni. The deans review all 16 nominees, one from each college and two from AddRan, and choose six to honor each year. Each honoree receives $2,500.

It is my honor to celebrate the academic excellence and accomplishments of our outstanding faculty,” Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg, provost and vice chancellor of Academic Affairs, said. “They teach and mentor our students to think independently and innovatively. They influence their fields and classrooms through their research and creative activity. They exemplify the integrity of a TCU degree.”

Dahlberg announced the honorees of the 2023 Deans’ Awards, one of the highest university-wide honors. Congratulations to Jan Lacina, Jacqueline Lambiase, Katie Lauve-Moon, Hanan Hammad, Peter Frinchaboy and Tee Tyler.
