TCU will now offer an online Wintersession annually between the fall and spring semesters to help students proceed toward graduation. All classes will be synchronous online only, delivered by faculty who are e-certified. Courses will focus on those that meet core requirements, are in high demand, have high drop/fail/withdraw rates, and are required for majors.

For December 2023 and January 2024, a four-week session will be delivered Dec. 18-Jan. 12. Two two-week sessions will be delivered Dec. 18-29 and Jan. 2-12. Registration runs concurrently with spring 2024 registration. Students will be limited to four credit hours.

TCU first offered an online Wintersession in 2020 to help students stay on course during the pandemic and then tested it again in 2022 with a select group.

“The Wintersessions proved effective in helping students meet core requirements and take courses that are in high demand during regular semesters,” Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, said. “Offering the online session each winter will increase opportunities for students to access courses that will most benefit their path to graduation.”
