TCU is gearing up for a celebration of generosity with the 12th TCU Gives Day. For 24 hours, from noon to noon, Oct. 7-8, TCU is inviting all to
be a part of the giving challenge, which aims to bring together 2,025 donors who are
passionate about supporting our Horned Frog community.
“TCU Gives Day is a powerful reminder of the collective impact our community can make,”
said Kristee Bell, assistant vice chancellor for development, TCU Loyalty Giving.
“Whether directed toward scholarships, student support or academic initiatives, every
contribution — regardless of size — plays a vital role in advancing the university’s
mission. We invite all Horned Frogs to participate and help shape a brighter future
for TCU.”
Again this year, donor maps and leaderboards will showcase the areas and class years
leading the charge, turning giving into a friendly global competition. The addition
of mobile payments via Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App, makes giving easier than
ever.
This year’s effort builds on the strong momentum of TCU Gives Day 2024:
- 85% of all gifts were under $500, highlighting the power of collective giving.
- More than $1.88 million was raised to drive key initiatives and strengthen programs and people across campus.
- Over 80% of contributions supported student scholarships and school, college or departmental funds — showcasing a united focus on academic excellence.
- Donors from all 50 states and 14 countries around the world joined in, making TCU Gives Day truly a global effort.
Horned Frogs can get more involved by participating in a new initiative, Flat SuperFrog, by photographing or videoing their favorite mascot on an adventure in their cities
or on the TCU Campus.
Users can post their photo or video on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook through Oct.
1 with the hashtag #TCUGivesDay. If your post is selected, you’ll win a prize and
get to choose where a gift from an anonymous donor goes on campus.
“Whether it’s your favorite local hangout, a cool landmark, your workplace or just
your neighborhood park, let’s see where Horned Frogs are supporting TCU Gives Day
across campus, the country or even the world,” Bell said. “Let’s show the power of
the Horned Frog network — and how far our purple pride reaches. These voices and participation
will help spread the word and inspire even more Horned Frogs to get involved!”
Not sure which area to support? TCU Advancement has created a brief, six-question quiz to learn what TCU Gives Day area might be the right fit. This year, two designations
have been added to TCU Gives Day, and they support TCU staff and faculty: the Staff
Development Fund and the Beto Cruz Award. These funds can be found by typing them
into the designation field on the giving form.
Accept the challenge and make TCU Gives Day 2025 a celebration of philanthropy and community spirit like never before.
