Reuben Burch, vice provost for research, emphasized the importance of AI fluency in tomorrow’s workforce.

“AI isn’t going to take your job, but someone who knows AI will definitely take your job. If we’re going to lean into that, then we need TCU students to be the one that takes the job.” 

His comments underscore TCU’s commitment to equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in an evolving job market. The article also highlights TCU’s new interdisciplinary AI certificate, launching this fall, which will allow students from any major to explore both the practical applications and ethical implications of artificial intelligence. 

Muriel Cormican, associate dean of undergraduate students in the AddRan College of Liberal Arts, said the program is designed with the future in mind.

“We’re basically trying to prepare them for the unknown,” she said.
