NAPE Magazine Features Chancellor Pullin on Powering the Energy Workforce of Tomorrow
Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin was recently featured in the spring 2026 issue of NAPE Magazine on how higher education can prepare the next generation of energy leaders.
Drawing on the work of TCU’s Ralph Lowe Energy Institute at the Neeley School of Business, Pullin outlines how TCU is reimagining energy education in response to industry shifts and a growing workforce shortage.
The article highlights TCU’s nimble, interdisciplinary approach to energy education, which includes a new “Land Management and Land Administration” course, undergraduate students who reimagined a 6,000-acre oil and gas site in Midland and an active partnership with the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels to develop a hydrogen and carbon capture road map.
“Our institution will continue to collaborate with business and community partners to be a model for how universities can energize and prepare the best workforce possible,” Pullin wrote.
The piece also spotlights students like senior Ellie Schreck and Energy MBA candidate Conor Freeman, executive-in-residence programs and the annual TCU Global Energy Symposium, which has featured leaders from Diamondback Energy and ERCOT.
