Dear Horned Frogs,
Under normal circumstances, we would all be getting ready for our first day back to class after Spring Break. This time of year normally signals great promise with the advent of spring on our beautiful campus. However, this is clearly not a routine year; it’s an uncertain, and even scary, time for many of us.
While conditions are not ideal, we WILL continue to move forward together as a University community. How do I know this? Because in my 17 years at Texas Christian University, we have weathered challenges and crises, and have done so by relying on each other, and the connected culture we have built.
I’m heartened by the positive campus and community response, which has been uplifting and focused on the greater good of public safety. The outpouring of support for TCU and you, our students, has been overwhelming. Our team is working around the clock to navigate details of instructional continuity and support services for students near and far. Our dedicated faculty and staff are finalizing distance learning solutions and working directly with students to ensure progress toward graduation.
These are not easy tasks, but we are committed to providing you with the best possible “off campus” experience until that time when we can gather together on campus. Until then, we will stay focused on what is most important - your safety and well-being.
I am grateful for your flexibility and understanding; we will remain in close contact as we make decisions. Continue to follow the most up-to-date TCU-related COVID-19 information and FAQs on TCU’s COVID-19 microsite. Please keep our campus community in your prayers, remain kind and generous to all, and keep your focus on the health and well-being of your loved ones.
And finally, please know that campus is not the same without you here. I miss you, and dearly hope we will all soon be together again at Texas Christian University.
Sincerely,
Victor J. Boschini, Jr.
