
Michael Mydlo
Program Affiliations
Michael A. Mydlo is the Performance Science Lead for the Roach Institute of Athlete Engineering at Texas Christian University. His work focuses on applied sport science, athlete monitoring, performance assessment, data analytics, and human-centered decision support for performance environments. Within the Roach Institute, Mydlo supports interdisciplinary research and applied projects that translate athlete and performance data into practical insights for coaches, practitioners, and other stakeholders. His background spans collegiate athletics, sport science, strength and conditioning, and professional sport, including experience with Mississippi State University Athletics and the UFC Performance Institute. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University and earned his M.S. and B.S. in Exercise Science from Oakland University. He is also a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
