LaDainian Tomlinson ’05
NFL Running Back | Pro Football Hall of Fame
LaDainian Tomlinson’s career has been defined by excellence — and by TCU.
Drafted fifth overall by the San Diego Chargers, LT became one of the NFL’s greatest running backs before cementing his place in both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame, recognition of his rare combination of talent, discipline and heart.
As a Horned Frog, LT rewrote the record books, including a 406-yard rushing game that set a Division I single-game record. A unanimous All-American and Doak Walker Award winner — presented annually to the most outstanding college football running back — TCU retired LT’s No. 5 jersey in 2005.
After his retirement from professional football, LT put his bachelor’s degree in communication to work, joining NFL Network as a studio analyst for over a decade. Today, he serves on the TCU Board of Trustees, where he helps guide the university’s future, mentor student-athletes and shape the next generation of Horned Frog leaders.
LT in His Own Words
“As I evolved and grew my leadership style, I had to learn how to be led first in order to be a leader.”
