Randy Parker ’88
President & CEO | Hyundai Motor North America
As Hyundai Motor North America president and CEO, Randy Parker guides one of the world’s largest automotive brands.
Parker’s rise to the top of a Fortune 500 company is a story of ambition, discipline and adaptability — skills learned on the court as a leader on the TCU men’s basketball team in the 1980s. Originally a criminal justice major, Parker discovered his true calling in the automotive industry shortly after graduation, launching his career at General Motors as an account manager through a connection made at a TCU career fair.
From there, his drive led to multiple leadership roles at Nissan before arriving at Hyundai, where he now applies the principles he developed as a student-athlete: teamwork, humility and putting others first.
Randy in His Own Words
“There are a couple of skill sets I learned very early on. Number one: the power of performance and the power of building your personal brand…You have to perform to get to the next level…how you do it is how you build your personal brand.”
